Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch!

Hey everyone. We had such a wonderful weekend. We had our last ditch effort yard sale again on Saturday. It was either gone be sold, or end up at Goodwill, and surprisingly, we did really well. On Sunday, Jeremy and I, and my parents, took Jackson to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch in Clanton. We had such a good time. You can ride a hayride out to this little pumpkin patch, and pick your own pumpkin.
I am all about carving pumpkins, so it took me forever to find the “perfect” pumpkin. I finally found it, and of course, Jackson had to have his own little pumpkin. He was so stinking cute, and had such a good time, that as soon as we got back into the car, he was out like a light. I hope you like the pictures!

Loving free samples!

I just left the neurologist for a follow up visit for my migraine issues. He was asking how the medicine was working, and I told him that it works great (even though I still have headaches all the time), but it is just too expensive. You see, the only medication that currently works for me is over $20 per pill. That simply does not fit into our budget which also includes daycare and diapers. So I have been living off of samples from my GP to make it through my headaches. Well, praise God, my neurologist gave me 8 boxes of samples, which is 16 pills!!! That is going to save me $320.00...WHOOOO-HOOO!!! Happy Friday to me....

Macy, Jackson, and new tricks

TGIF!!

So we quite an adventurous evening in the Wade household. As you may be aware, Thursday nights are reserved for Financial Peace University in our family. Kellyn and Jason are our standard babysitters for Thursday nights, and so that is always the same…until yesterday. I called Jeremy on my way home from work, and he calmly asked me, “Where are you?” My first thought was…something is wrong. I told him that I was on the interstate, and I would be home in about 15 minutes. He said that he was trying to be nice and go ahead and cut up the cabbage I was going to steam for supper. Jackson was in the high chair, and apparently made some kind of noise, so Jeremy looked over his shoulder, at the same time that he was still cutting the cabbage. You can guess what happened. He sliced his finger open, a nice size gash on his left middle finger. We ended up at Pri-Med last night where Jeremy got 4 stitches in his finger. He is fine now, but needless to say, his finger is so sore.

Oh, and today is the last day of the Oh Baby contest. You can still visit www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/ohbaby and click on the free vote and enter Jackson W1. You can also make a contribution if you like.

Jackson posing with his favorite people in the world!

Jackson with his barn.

Jackson under the end table (for the 3rd time last night)

Jackson playing "in" his toy box (isn't that what they are for)

Get your feet out of the barn!!!

Sorry I didn't post any new pics yesterday. Our Internet went down, and that does slow me down just a little bit.

Jeremy was in a conference in ATL last night, so it was just me and little man. He was into everything. Here are some things I heard myself saying last night:
  1. "Jackson get your feet out of the barn." He kept getting those little piggies stuck in his Little People barn house. He then decided that it made a better seat than a toy.
  2. "Jackson, quit crawling under the end table." Enough said!
  3. "Jackson, want to talk to Daddy?" When I held the phone up to Jackson's ear, he said, "Dada" as soon as Jeremy started talking. Jeremy and I were so excited about that.

For those of you who don't know, I have to be at work at 7:30 in the morning. This means that Jeremy always takes Jackson to school. I hate to be late for anything, especially work, so I was anxious about me getting ready for work, and getting Jackson ready for school all by myself. I shouldn't have been concerned. Jackson slept until 6:00 (normal time to get up) and I was already ready by that time. The only curve ball he threw me this morning was deciding to fill his diaper up literally 2 minutes before I was about to walk out the door. Oh well. He was an angel, and I have no complaints. All-in-all, the two of us did just fine, but boy did I miss Jeremy!

Happy Monday!

Hey everyone. I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. It was just me and Jackson this weekend because Jeremy had to work. We went to the park with Nana and Grandpa (pictures later) and had a great time. It was the perfect weather to be outside, and Jackson had a great time playing.

In other news...
  • Jeremy is headed to a conference in hotlanta
  • Auburn lost :(
  • Alabama won :(
  • I made bbq for the first time ever this weekend. I had NO idea how easy schemeazy it was, and it turned out really good. Definitely a repeat recipe.
  • It is raining here (maybe heavy rains) and we really need it. We are bone dry here in Alabama.

I will post new pictures of Jackson later today. He was so stinking cute this weekend, and oh so sweet. Have a great Monday!

More family pics!

New pics, video and randomness!

Jackson with his Mimi

Jackson with Gigi, Mammaw, and Pappaw

Jackson with Papa riding the mower (his favorite thing to do)
So last night Jeremy and I were having a great time with Jackson after church. He is such a mess! He has learned how to hide from us, and it is hilarious. If you say, "Jackson, go hide" he takes off running and hides behind his bedroom door or crawls into his closet. He will wait there, absolutely silent, until you come "Get" him. He is so funny. I tried to capture his antics on video last night, but when the camera came out, he got interested in other things.

I posted a video of him going to get his books. He will do this over and over.

Have a great Thursday!

Happy Monday!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Monday. It has been a week of big celebrations for our families. Last Sunday, 10/6, my parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. (No..I didn't forget their anniversary, I just forgot to blog about it). Sooo Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Yesterday, 10/14, Jeremy grandparents, Mammaw and Papaw, celebrated their 64th Anniversary!!!! Isn't that unbelievable. Who even dreams of making it to 60+ years of marriage? They are such a loving couple, and such an inspiration.

Today, 10/15, is my in-laws, Buddy and Janet's 30th anniversary. Happy Anniversary, and we had a great time visiting this weekend!

Jeremy and I are so blessed, and lucky, to both have parents that are still happily married, and that our grandparents made it to 50+ years of marriage. Quite rare in these days, and Jeremy and I are so happy to have such great examples in our lives! We love ya'll!!! If I have added correctly, between our grandparents, and parents, they have a combined total of more than 250 years of marriage. Pretty impressive!!!

So, in the tradition of my favorite morning radio guys, Rick and Bubba..."Happy Anniversary, Baby. I got you on my MIIIINNNNNDDDD!!!!"

In other news: Jackson is FINALLY clapping. WHOOO-HOOO!!! That little stinker is so stubborn. I think he leans all his tricks at school, and then he acts like he has been doing this stuff forever. He is a MESS. Have a great day!

Another Chinese toy recall...

It was just announced that there has been ANOTHER toy recall from China. The picture is posted below. When are we ever going to learn???

Funny, but sick isn't it :)

Great Weekend

We had a wonderful, but busy weekend at the Wade household. Jeremy's sister, Amy, her fiance, Adam, and my in-laws, Gigi and Papa, all came in for the weekend. I was going to be super busy with our yardsale (which was a big success) so the Wade's generously offered to come watch little man so I could just concentrate on the yardsale. It was a huge help, especially considering that we were out at 4:30 in the morning, and didn't get done until almost 2:00. Here are some pictures they took of Jackson this weekend. Have a great day!

In other news...please keep voting for Jackson at www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/ohbaby and click the free vote link and then enter Jackson W1. He needs ALOT of votes, so get out the vote!!!

Open letter to Ms. Britney Spears

Britney, Britney, Britney…What have you done? How in the world did you let go of your precious children…to K-Fed. We need to talk about some things, and have as I like to put it, a “come to Jesus meeting”.

The world watched in wonder when you had your famous 55 hour marriage in Las Vegas and your record setting annulment. We were willing to chalk it up to being drunk and young. We saw you tramp into a public bathroom sans cheap flip-flops. We were willing to excuse you for that, even though it was disgusting, and I can only hope that you washed your feet really good that night. We watched you start to date Kevin Federline, even though you knew he was leaving his pregnant girlfriend and young child to come party with you. This doesn’t exactly make him marriage worthy, but whatever. Then you married him. Ahem…What? This is your Prince Charming. Seriously. You married someone who wants to be know by the world as K-Fed.

So you married a loser…plenty of people have done it. Get divorced and pretend it never happened just like before. Or maybe not. Then you decided (or accidently) had Sean Preston. First of all, let me just say how cute he is. Precious. I can only imagine how proud you were of him as you rode down the LA highway with him on your lap. I know, I know..the paparazzi were chasing you. If you promise to never do it again, I can let it go. Strapping your child into the car seat facing the wrong direction is also a big no-no, especially after your highway incident, but alas, maybe you simply didn’t know better. Lesson learned.

Then you had sweet little Jayden James. He definitely takes after his older brother and is adorable. You finally wised up and dumped that loser baggage named K-Fed. Here comes the fun stuff. You get to be a 20 something year old again. Whoo-hooo. Let’s hook up with the likes of Ms. Paris Hilton and Ms. Lindsey Lohan. They are such wonderful role models and can teach you things like “How to dress like a cheap hooker” and “Pole-dancing 101” and even “How to NOT wear your Hanes.” I know your mother was so proud…oh wait..you served her with legal papers that said she couldn’t be around you or your kids. Hmmm. That’s just sad. I won’t mention you shaving your head. I know you regret that.

Now the result of your on-going custody battle with your Babies Daddy is that you have lost custody of your children. That is SERIOUS. I have to wonder if you deliberately disobeyed the judges’ orders to not drink, party, do drugs, or abuse your children, although all of those demands sound totally reasonable to me when you remember that you are, first and foremost, a PARENT now.

Nevertheless, here’s what I’m gonna do for you Britney. Are you ready. The following will solve 99% of your problems, if you are willing to follow my instructions exactly.

1. Enter rehab. And complete Rehab for a change. Not some fruity, chic little center that will serve you green tea in bed while you contemplate life. I mean serious rehab where you actually deal with the crappy life that you have made for yourself. Then follow up with long term therapy.
2. Get right with your Mama. She may want access to your millions, but at the end of the day, she is your Mom, and she only wants you to be happy and healthy.
3. Surround yourself with people that will tell you “NO.” You seem to have gotten really used to having your way with people, and if you don’t like what they say, you fire them. No more. From here on you need to ask permission to do everything, until you figure out how to be a grown up. “Can I brush my teeth?” Yes. “Can I go party tonight?” No. “Do I have to wear panties?” Yes. Easy schmeazy.
4. Quit partying. Period. No more alcohol or drugs at all. Better yet, leave Hollywood for good. Pack up and never return.
5. Disappear for awhile. Find some quiet little place to escape to, like Kentwood, LA, where you can get a normal job. Maybe you could be a cashier at Wal-Mart to teach you the value of a dollar and the meaning of hard work. I think it would be good for you.
6. Parenting classes. Children need to be in bed at a decent hour, and I am sorry to inform you, but Cheetos and Mountain Dew don’t make a balanced meal.
6. Last but definitely the most important, get right with God. Somewhere deep down inside of you, there is a voice screaming that you know something better is out there. Listen to that voice and follow it to the nearest church where someone can show you the true meaning of happiness.

Britney, I hate to be so hard on you. I can’t even imagine how tough it is always being in the spotlight, but if you don’t change, you won’t be with us a year from now. I’m sorry to say that, but I am probably right. Take care, and if you need anything, or just need to chat you feel free to call anytime.

Sincerely,
Amy

Vroom Vroom, Baby!!!

Jackson's favorite new thing is the vacuum cleaner. He just loves it! Whenver Jeremy starts to vacuum, Jackson has to go get his popper thingy and help Daddy along. It is just too cute. He has also mastered the Vroom Vroom noise to go along with his chores. I may be on to something here if I can get both Jeremy and Jackson to vacuum :)

Things a plenty...

We have survived another weekend in the Wade household. We were soo busy this weekend. We had, with my parents and my sister/hubby, decided to hold a yard sale. I am a big fan of yard sales, as delightfully tacky as they can be. Where else can we unload bunches of ahem..stuff we no longer desire, to someone who is totally willing to haggle us down from .50 to .25 over something WE NO LONGER WANT!!!

Jeremy thinks that we are not going to make anything considering that we are pricing loads of stuff from .10 to $1.00, but never fear Jeremy... someone is totally willing to buy our ceramic owl and other do-dads and what-nots. They know just the person that this will make the perfect gift for. So if anyone is looking to do some early Christmas shopping, drop by my parents house in Prattville on Saturday. I promise I will make you a great deal!!!

In other news...Jackson has added some new words to his vocabulary.
1. Moon: Basically any light in the sky is the moon now. This includes stars, the sun, back porch lights, and even street lights.
2. Door: He says this when he is ready to go.
3. Shoe: He loves to say this as he is running away with one of our shoes.
4. Da: Still working on "dog," but for now this will work.

That's it for now. I hope you have a terrific Monday, and keep voting for Jackson at www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/ohbaby and enter Jackson W1 for the free vote. Take care!
